Hello and thank you for stopping by! I’m Marilou - a mom, wife to a Marine Veteran, breast cancer survivor and the hands behind Norbalay. I migrated to the United States from the Philippines two decades ago where I built my small family and a career in the Biopharmaceutical industry with the current role of Global IT Lab Application Lead.

 Norbalay was born from resilience, love, and the belief that self-care can be both simple and
powerful. In 2023, after facing a breast cancer diagnosis, I turned to crafting
to find peace and strength during my healing journey. What started with
creating ornaments during the holiday season soon grew into a passion for
making natural soaps that are gentle, nourishing, and made with clean
ingredients.

 At Norbalay, every bar of soap and handcrafted product is more than just a blend of oils and botanicals —

it’s a reflection of strength, courage, and family. Inspired by nature’s gifts
and guided by the values of clean, honest care, our recipes are thoughtfully
crafted with nourishing oils and butters, milk, botanicals, and gentle clays.

The name Norbalay
carries a spirit of togetherness, rooted in family and the courage to keep
moving forward. As a mom, a Marine veteran’s wife, and a survivor, I pour both
resilience and compassion into every creation. Each product is made in small
batches, with intention and heart, so that when you hold a Norbalay bar in your
hands, you’re not just holding soap — you’re holding a story of courage, care,
and renewal.
